“The power of optimization is still underestimated”

As professor in Applications of Optimization and Simulation at Tilburg University I’ve seen a lot of do’s and don’ts in applying business analytics. At BlueRock TMS I have the chance to apply the best of the best methods and practices. We have great customers with very interesting problems where we can obtain substantial improvements.

There is a lot of ‘talk’ about big data, artificial intelligence, and optimization. The nice thing of our time is that a lot of people see the possibilities. But the flip side of the coin is that only a very few know how to get there. You need good questions, reliable data, and technical skills (and this costs more time than you think) and a good feeling of when to apply which algorithm.

It is fantastic to work here at BlueRock TMS with a very talented and multiple skilled team. In a short time of several months we have been able to deliver projects that others haven’t considered possible to develop in years!
